Liu Ding - The Szechuwan Tale: China Theatre and History

12 April - 15 July 2018

A Group Exhibition curated by Marco Scotini for the FM Centro per L'Arte Contemporanea of Milan
The Szechwan Tale. China, Theatre and History talks about the relationship between China and the West through a continuous dialogue between contemporary art, theatre and history. The exhibition, conceived as a meta-theatre, hosts many Chinese and international artists who, through their own artistic techniques, re-interpret all the elements that give life to the complex theatrical machine such as the public, the curtain, the actor, the text and the music. At the same time, these are brought back to social phenomena and  their historical character.

The exhibition originates from the project curated by Marco Scotini for the Anren Biennale in Sichuan province (China), - Today’s Yesterday (28 October 2017 – February 2018), to which took part other internationally renown Chinese artists.
