Conosciuto per l'incrocio di iperrealismo, cartoni animati e graffiti con temi storici e pop, Ventura tende a sconvolgere le immagini commerciali che trova nelle riviste creando la visione di un mondo fantastico che oltre ad essere surreale, suggerisce i pericoli reali affrontati dall'umanità: dal consumismo all'inquinamento e alla guerra. Il suo lavoro ritrae scene di disordini caotici combinando le mitologie tradizionali occidentali e asiatiche con simboli culturali contemporanei. Lavorando sia nella pittura che nella scultura, spesso vi è un misterioso senso di espansione nelle opere di Ventura, con oggetti e modelli che si muovono verso l'esterno.

Nato nel 1973 a Manila, nelle Filippine, Ronald Ventura ha conseguito una laurea in Pittura presso l'Università di Santo Tomas nel 1993. A seguito di un breve percorso da insegnante, nel 2000 ha cominciato ad esporre i suoi lavori con la personale "All Souls Day" presso la Drawing Room a Makati City e "Innerscapes", tenutasi alla West Gallery Megamall a Mandaluyong City. Nel 2001 ha ricevuto il premio "Artist of the Year" dall'Art Manilla e poi nel 2005 ha vinto l'Ateneo Art Gallery, Studio Residency Grant di Sydney, in Australia, per The Human Study, un progetto composto da opere di grafite su tela. Il suo lavoro è stato recensito dal The New York Times ed è incluso in molte collezioni private. Ventura continua a vivere e lavorare a Manila, nelle Filippine.
