Robert Zhao Renhui

nato nel 1983 a Singapore (Singapore)

"Mi piace dialogare con la gente in merito a quali siano i loro ideali e l'idea della natura. Dobbiamo sempre farci domande su tutto ciò che ci viene dato". RZR
La ricerca artistica di Zhao si interseca, ed è profondamente influenzata dalla scienza, con particolare riferimento alla branca della zoologia. L’artista lavora principalmente con la fotografia, adottando tuttavia un approccio multidisciplinare che, visivamente, consiste nella presentazione contestuale di immagini, testi e documenti, con l’obiettivo di esplorare i principi che sottostanno alla divulgazione del sapere.
Laureatosi in Fotografia rispettivamente al Camberwell College of Arts e al College of Communication di Londra, ha poi condotto progetti e borse di ricerca presso il Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, la Bangkok University Gallery, il National Museum of Wales, l'Earth Observatory di Singapore, Fotogallery, il The Arctic Circle Residency e la Kadist Art Foundation di San Francisco.
