The 34th edition of MINIARTEXTIL, the renowned international exhibition of contemporary fiber art, will take place from August 9 to September 21, 2025, at Palazzo Broletto in Como, Italy.
This year’s theme is "Eterno Desiderio" ("Eternal desire").
Inspired by Cesare Pavese's reflection — "Desire is the opposite of death. Pleasure is a brief moment of pure life" — the exhibition explores desire as a fundamental and enduring human force. Far from being merely a longing for possession, desire here is interpreted as a driving, creative energy—one that shapes relationships, thoughts, and artistic expression.
Through intricate textiles, knots, and woven materials, participating artists will express this inner tension—desire as beauty, connection, and transformation. In fiber, a medium made of threads and gestures, Eterno desiderio takes tangible form, inviting visitors to reflect on the invisible threads that connect us all.
This edition of Miniartextil will feature a rich and diverse selection of textile works from international artists, including three works by Joël Andrianomearisoa and two by Samuel Nnorom.
