Abdoulaye Konaté and Pierre Bodo on display at the Musée Rath of Geneve

More than meets the eye. Modern and contemporary art from Africa.
Abdoulaye Konaté and Pierre Bodo are featured in the group exhibition More than meets the eye: Modern and Contemporary Art from Africa currently on view at Musée Rath of Geneva.

Reflecting the institution’s enduring dedication to artistic creation, the exhibition More Than Meets the Eye brings together nearly 80 artists from sub-Saharan Africa who spent part of their lives in the region, spanning almost a century of artistic production (1929–2024).
Among the highlights are works by renowned artists Abdoulaye Konaté and Pierre Bodo, alongside paintings, sculptures, and photographs that reveal a powerful blend of traditional influences, modern aesthetics, and contemporary themes.

Through this distinctive curatorial journey, designed by interior architect and designer Pierre Yovanovitch, Africa asserts itself as a significant and dynamic presence on the global art stage.
