Jigger Cruz new exhibition on view at The Metropolitan Museum of Art of Manila

Jigger Cruz Presents “Hail Holy Eyes” At The M
Primo Marella Gallery is excited to highlight the latest major retrospective by Jigger Cruz, Hail Holy Eyes, that will be on view at The M (Metropolitan Museum of Manila).

This mid-career exhibition traces nearly two decades of Cruz’s experimentation and artistic growth. Lifestyle Asia With over 100 works from 2007 to the present, Hail Holy Eyes offers a deeply immersive encounter with his charged, visceral practice.
Cruz is known for his thick, textured surfaces, bold color clashes, and found imagery — techniques that continuously challenge the boundary between abstraction and figuration.

In this comprehensive installation, these works converge into a unified and emotionally intense environment. Curator Norman Crisologo describes the title — Hail Holy Eyes — as a trigger, evoking “an avalanche of unanswered questions … to shout and feel, with your very own eyes.” Throughout the exhibition, Cruz revisits themes of sound, faith, and renewal, expressing a willingness to embrace excess and explore the coexistence of beauty and disorder

Hail Holy Eyes will be on view from  November 19, 2025 to March 1, 2026 at The M’s Groundspace, 2/F North and South Galleries, Metropolitan Museum of Manila, located in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
