Troy Makaza at Sillon: Zimbabwean Artist Featured in the 2025 Biennale of Contemporary Art

Primo Marella Gallery is pleased to announce that Troy Makaza is participating in the 2025 edition of Sillon, Biennale of Contemporary Art, a major international art event held in the Drôme region of southeastern France.
The biennale takes place at the historic Château du Domaine des Sources in Dieulefit, where Makaza’s compelling work will be presented among a distinguished group of contemporary artists responding to urgent cultural, formal and material explorations.

The Sillon Biennale is recognised for its interdisciplinary approach and its commitment to connecting artistic inquiry with broader cultural and ecological themes. Now in its fourth edition, the biennale continues to foster dialogue across disciplines and geographies, bringing together over 150 contemporary artists in dynamic site-specific presentations.
Makaza’s participation in Sillon – as an artist internationally recognised for creations that defy conventional categorisation – underscores his ongoing engagement with material innovation and conceptual depth, situating his practice within the broader currents of international contemporary art.
