Ronald Ventura Presents Carousel at Art Walk by Ayala Land in Manila

Ronald Ventura is featured in Art Walk by Ayala Land with Carousel, a monumental public artwork currently on view at Ayala Malls Circuit in Manila. Installed at the Ground Floor Breezeway, the work will be accessible to the public until February 8, 2026, offering an immersive artistic experience within the urban landscape.

 

Reimagining the traditional carousel, Carousel unfolds as a poetic and symbolic exploration of life, survival, and transformation. As the structure revolves, it reveals a universe populated by mythical and hybrid figures — a recurring element in Ventura’s practice — inviting viewers to reflect on the fragile balance between instinct, imagination, and coexistence.

 

Known for his ability to merge popular culture, classical references and psychological depth, Ventura transforms a familiar object into a dynamic sculptural environment. The movement of the carousel becomes an integral part of the work, reinforcing themes of continuity, repetition, and the cyclical nature of human experience.
