Ifeoma U. Anyaeji, Abdoulaye Konaté and Samuel Nnorom on view at Fondation Blachère

"Afroblue: l’usage du bleu dans les créations contemporaines d'Afrique" – group exhibition
Primo Marella Gallery is pleased to announce that works by Ifeoma U. Anyaeji, Abdoulaye Konaté and Samuel Nnorom will be exhibited in a group show, titled Afroblue: l’usage du bleu dans les créations contemporaines d'Afrique, at Fondation Blachère – running from April 9th to September 19th, 2026.

Inspired by the recent edition of the Dakar Biennale, Afroblue explores how artists from Africa and its diasporas use blue as a language and a vehicle for history, memory, and projection.
Challenging Western perspectives on colour, the exhibition presents blue not simply as a shade, but as a shared, living presence that shapes identities and practices. Bringing together diverse artistic expressions—from textile traditions to technological experimentation—Afroblue moves across themes of migration, ritual, and futurity.

Rather than offering a single narrative, the exhibition opens a dialogue across cultures and generations, inviting audiences to reconsider the power of colour as a tool for connection and transformation.
