Daniele Di Girolamo (Pescara, 1995) is a visual artist living and working between Pescara and Malmö. Educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna and the Malmö Art Academy, he develops a multidisciplinary practice that brings together installation, kinetic sculpture, sound, photography, and video.
At the core of his research are processes of perception, the memory of places, and the relationship between sensory experience and space. Through the use of industrial and organic materials, found objects, mechanical devices, and sound systems, Di Girolamo creates immersive environments in which vibrations, movements, and resonances generate dialogues between natural and artificial elements. Sound, understood both as a physical phenomenon and an immaterial presence, becomes a tool for investigating the boundaries between the visible and the invisible, matter and memory.
His works often originate from the collection of images, objects, and recordings drawn from specific contexts, which are subsequently reworked through processes of translation and recomposition. The result is a practice that explores the exchange between different languages and states of matter, transforming the exhibition space into a site of listening, interaction, and constantly shifting perception.
