Joël Andrianomearisoa Selected for the BNP Paribas Banque Privée Prize 2026

The artist has been selected among the 16 artists shortlisted for the third edition, presented within Babel: Art and Language in France at Art Paris
Primo Marella Gallery is pleased to announce that among the 16 selected artists for The BNP Paribas Banque Privée Prize – A Focus on the French Scene, Joël Andrianomearisoa has been included in the shortlist for its third edition.

Launched in 2024 by BNP Paribas Banque Privée and Art Paris, the prize recognizes a living artist active on the French art scene. For this edition, the selected artists are drawn from Babel: Art and Language in France, curated by Loïc Le Gall, an exhibition that explores the dynamic relationship between language and contemporary artistic practices in France.
The winner will be chosen by a distinguished jury composed of prominent figures from the art world, all committed to supporting French creativity.
The announcement will take place during the opening ceremony of Art Paris 2026.

By including Joël Andrianomearisoa among this year’s selected artists, the prize highlights the strength and relevance of his artistic research within the broader contemporary discourse.
The initiative continues to foster dialogue between generations, connecting historically significant works with those of emerging and mid-career artists, while reinforcing the role of galleries in promoting and supporting artistic practices internationally.
