Abodulaye Konaté and Samuel Nnorom at the Bienal del Agua in Cascais, Portugal

The artists join Bienal Del Agua – "The Traces of Water", its first edition in Cascais, an international platform exploring water as a shared cultural and environmental heritage.
Primo Marella Gallery is pleased to announce the participation of Abdoulaye Konaté and Samuel Nnorom in the Bienal da Água de Cascais, an international multidisciplinary event dedicated to exploring the cultural, environmental, and social significance of water.
The exhibition will be on view from 16 July to 6 September 2026.

More than an exhibition, the Bienal da Água is a global platform that encourages reflection, creativity, and cooperation around one of the most vital resources for humanity. The participation of Konaté and Nnorom highlights two artistic practices that, while distinct in form and approach, share a deep engagement with themes of connection, transformation, memory, and the relationship between people and their environments.
Presented within the context of Bienal Del Agua – "The Traces of Water", their works offer complementary perspectives on the flows – human, cultural, and ecological – that shape contemporary life. Together, they contribute to an ongoing dialogue on how artistic practice can illuminate the complex relationships that bind individuals, societies, and natural systems.

We are proud to see their work featured in this important international platform and look forward to the exchange of ideas and perspectives their participation will foster!
