Primo Marella Gallery Milan is pleased to announce a Special Evening celebrating Alternative Practices and Unbound Forms: African Artists Across Recent Biennales – Part II, taking place at the gallery on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 6:00 pm.
This special occasion marks a renewed chapter of the exhibition and offers visitors the opportunity to experience new developments within the presentation, including a significant monumental new work by renowned Malian artist Abdoulaye Konaté, further enriching the exhibition’s exploration of contemporary African artistic practices and perspectives.
The evening will also feature the presentation of three new catalogues published by the gallery, reflecting Primo Marella Gallery’s ongoing commitment to artistic research, critical dialogue, and the promotion of contemporary African art on an international level. The publications comprise two monographs dedicated to Godwin Champs Namuyimba and Hako Hankson, as well as the catalogue for Alternative Practices and Unbound Forms: African Artists Across Recent Biennales. Through these editorial projects, the gallery continues to document and support the diverse voices and practices that define contemporary African art today.
Guests will be invited to discover the stories, ideas, and artistic trajectories behind these editorial projects through a dedicated presentation, creating a space for discussion, exchange, and deeper engagement with the artists and themes explored in the publications.
We look forward to welcoming friends of the gallery for an evening dedicated to contemporary art, publishing, and cultural dialogue!
