The artwork has entered the museum’s permanent collection and will also be featured in the exhibition Living Legacies. Protecting Heritage. Building Hope, on view from 25 November 2026 to 25 April 2027.
This important acquisition marks another significant milestone in Konaté’s distinguished career and further affirms the international recognition of his artistic practice. Through his powerful textile works, the artist has long explored themes of identity, memory, history, and cultural dialogue, becoming one of the leading figures in contemporary African art.
