Agostino Arrivabene featured in “Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses” at the Brooklyn Museum

The Italian artist joins the dialogue between art and haute couture in the major retrospective dedicated to Iris van Herpen at the Brooklyn Museum of New York
Primo Marella Gallery is proud to share that the Brooklyn Museum of New York features Italian artist Agostino Arrivabene in the major exhibition Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses, dedicated to Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen.

Arrivabene’s contribution appears within the exhibition as an autonomous artistic presence in dialogue with van Herpen’s haute couture creations. His works, defined by a powerful visionary and symbolic intensity, enhance the exhibition’s immersive and imaginative dimension.
His painterly language, deeply rooted in Renaissance and Symbolist traditions, is known for constructing scenes suspended between metamorphosis, myth, and spirituality. In this context, his work strengthens the exhibition’s conceptual core, focused on the transformation of form and the relationship between body and matter.

His participation highlights the interdisciplinary nature of the project, where contemporary art and fashion merge into a single narrative space.

The exhibition is on view at the Brooklyn Museum until December 6, 2026.
