Primo Marella Gallery is pleased to announce the participation of Joël Andrianomearisoa in the group exhibition Kabarin-javakanto: A Reading of Fondation H Collection, presented at Fondation H in Antananarivo and curated by Abdellah Karroum.
The exhibition offers a new interpretation of the Fondation H Collection, bringing together artistic practices primarily from the African continent and establishing historical, cultural, and political dialogues between Madagascar, Africa, and the wider international context. The project gathers works by forty-one artists, including Joël Andrianomearisoa, exploring the role of contemporary art in creating new narratives and connections.
Joël Andrianomearisoa’s participation further highlights the relevance of his practice within the contemporary African and international art scenes, while investigating the relationships between territories, identities and collective experiences, constantly moving between different cultures and forms of expression.
With Kabarin-javakanto: A Reading of Fondation H Collection, Abdellah Karroum develops an exhibition inspired by the Malagasy tradition of kabary, transforming the exhibition space into a place of dialogue, reflection, and shared knowledge.
